Our Mission:

Through free, confidential pregnancy counseling and medically licensed services, LearnYourOptions Pregnancy Confirmation Services educates and empowers our clients to make healthy, informed choices about their sexual health.

Our Vision:

With God's direction, LearnYourOptions Pregnancy Confirmation Services' desire is to expand the vision for life-affirming care to women and their families throughout New England.

Our Statement of Faith:

Our Understanding of Christian Faith and Unity
LearnYourOptions Pregnancy Confirmation Services is organized as a Christian ministry. Our understanding of the Christian faith is reflected in our Statement of Faith. It is one we believe reflects historic Christian orthodoxy. While there remain important theological differences between Catholics and Protestants, and many distinctions within each of these, LearnYourOptions Pregnancy Confirmation Services operates by the efforts of Catholics, Protestants, and Evangelicals working together. We welcome help from those who agree with our Mission and Vision and embrace our Statement of Faith stated below.

The Apostle's Creed

We believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again; He ascended into heaven, He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and He will come again to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Volunteer Expectations and Opportunities:

Our effectiveness in reaching and changing the lives of men and women struggling with an unplanned pregnancy is largely due to the great work our volunteers do. LearnYourOptions works well because our volunteers approach their service with the same due diligence and firm commitment that our staff requires of themselves. We expect our volunteers to uphold high standards of professionalism, personal responsibility and Christian character in all we say and do. To this end we expect each volunteer to do the following:

  1. Be Dependable
Staff and clients are depending on us. It is vital that our volunteers keep their word and prove to be dependable. Good intentions that lead to missed appointments or unfinished tasks leave us vulnerable to losing credibility and trust with clients who already feel they have no one to turn to for reliable help and with our donors who trust us with using their treasure efficiently and effectively. We expect volunteers to show up on time and stay for the time they have committed to this vital ministry.

  2. Maintain a servant's heart
There are many jobs that need doing at LearnYourOptions, some are thrilling and many are menial. The president, center directors, and staff share in both. We expect our volunteers to help where needed. We are equally committed to helping each volunteer enjoy being at LearnYourOptions and have an opportunity to exhibit their God given gifts and talents. Those coming to counsel women in unplanned pregnancy will receive additional training, mentoring, and ongoing input from the center director.

  3. Follow LearnYourOptions's approved  Policies and Procedures
LearnYourOptions is committed to excellence and striving to achieve it in all we do. The Policies and Procedures of LearnYourOptions are written to foster excellence and protect and guide all LearnYourOptions staff and volunteers in carrying out their duties. We expect volunteers to follow all written policies and procedures and to work cooperatively with supervisors.

  4. Grow in the knowledge and love of Christ
LearnYourOptions is committed to being a Christ centered outreach, with each volunteer growing in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as the foundation and guidance system of our service. It is important for our volunteers to be involved in a local church and in regular attendance.

  5. Provide a Letter of Recommendation
Given the sensitive nature of our work, LearnYourOptions requires a Letter of recommendation from a pastor or priest for every volunteer. Please provide your pastor or priest with a copy of our brochure or the link to our website in order for them to be aware of the ministry's mission and vision.
